October is Iowa’s initiative for the Healthiest State Month. This week you should focus on 2 hours or less of recreational screen time.
The Music Department is still selling butterbraids! Contact a music student to get yours ordered today!
Make sure to pick up the “How well do you know your teachers” survey from Ms. Hewett. HS students pick yours up in the MS/HS office and middle school students pick yours up from the table in the middle school commons.
The Junior class is selling select Milkhouse Candles and Saints stickers for Class Fundraising. Each candle is $20 and each sticker is $2. Please see a Junior if you are interested in purchasing.
Congratulations to the Cross Country team and their strong season. Cole Hansen and Riley Witt were honored as first team conference last week. There were also conference honors for Lanie Hanna and Elijah Huebsch at the middle school level. Last night Riley Witt earned district Champion and will be advancing to the state meet next weekend. Riley Witt has been Conference and District Champion for three years in a row. Wish him luck for hopes to bring home the State Champion title.
The Saints football team will play at Grundy Center tonight at 7:00. All tickets must be purchased online through Hometown Ticketing. Tickets can be purchased by going to the Iowa High School Athletic Association at http://www.iahsaa.org/tickets. Good luck Saints!
The cheerleaders are going down to Des Moines on Nov 6 for state cheerleading competition. There are shirt order forms in the high school office if you would like to purchase some. Please have money and the form back to the High school office or one of the cheerleaders by today. If you have any questions, ask one of the cheerleaders.
Congratulations to the volleyball team on advancing to the third round of regional play! The saints will take on the Nashua Plainfield Huskies on Monday October 25th in Nashua! The theme for Monday is red out!! Be there and be loud!!!
Red Ribbon Week is next week. The theme this year is “Drug Free Looks Like Me”. Check out the dress up days that are posted in the MS and HS to participate. Monday’s dress up day is Red Out: Wear red to support your pledge.
Today the middle school will celebrate fall birthdays! If you are a middle school student with a birthday in August, September or October, please grab your birthday tag off the hallway wall to get your cupcake. Student council will sing and serve the cupcakes at 12:25 in the middle school lunchroom. Happy Birthday!
